Bristol International Salon of Photography 2011 results
I received the results for my submission to this years Bristol International Salon by email today, and am delighted to have obtained two acceptances from four entries into the ‘Open’ class. My best result was with ‘Steps at Silloth’ taken in February this year. (Silloth is a small town on the Cumbrian Coast.) This achieved 17 marks out of a possible 18!

Bristol International Salon of Photography 2011
[singlepic id=22 w=250 float=left]I’ve started my trail through the photography salons this year with an entry to the Bristol Salon. This international salon is for projected digital images only, with three classes. I’ve entered the ‘open’ class only (which merges monochrome, colour and creative into a single class).

Beyond Group
[singlepic id=11 w=250 float=left]Following on from my initial entry this year into the Cotswold Monochrome Salon, I’ve also entered the Beyond Group Salon. This salon is only for projected images, so I didn’t have to make a decision whether I should enter prints or not. It does however offer the option for entering both colour and monochrome images so I entered some of each. (It also offers a ‘nature’ class, which I didn’t enter.) Once again acceptances count towards BPE awards.

Cotswold Monochrome
I decided earlier this year that I needed to enter more competitions (perhaps that should be ‘some’ rather than ‘more’). I missed the closing dates for the first one that I’d planned to enter, so made sure that I got some digital images ready for the Cotswold Monochrome Salon.
