‘St Bees shoreline’ awarded Gold Label

Another success in the United Photographic Postfolios group I belong to! This digital infrared photograph of a seeding dock and other plants on the shoreline at St Bees has been awarded a gold label in a recent round. It too will be exhibited later this year at the Annual meeting of the UPP of Great Britain.

Steps at Silloth

I received the results for my submission to this years Bristol International Salon by email today, and am delighted to have obtained two acceptances from four entries into the ‘Open’ class. My best result was with ‘Steps at Silloth’ taken in February this year. (Silloth is a small town on the Cumbrian Coast.) This achieved 17 marks out of a possible 18!

Bristol International Salon of Photography 2011

This international salon is for projected digital images only, with three classes. I’ve entered the ‘open’ class only (which merges monochrome, colour and creative into a single class).

‘Windswept’ awarded Gold Label in UPP group

This photograph of mine was awarded a gold label in a recent round of the UPP (United Photographic Postfolios) group which I belong to. It will be exhibited later this year at the Annual meeting of the UPP of Great Britain.

Beyond Group

[singlepic id=11 w=250 float=left]Following on from my initial entry this year into the Cotswold Monochrome Salon, I’ve also entered the Beyond Group Salon. This salon is only for projected images, so I didn’t have to make a decision whether I should enter prints or not. It does however offer the option for entering both colour and monochrome images so I entered some of each. (It also offers a ‘nature’ class, which I didn’t enter.) Once again acceptances count towards BPE awards.

I decided earlier this year that I needed to enter more competitions (perhaps that should be ‘some’ rather than ‘more’). I missed the closing dates for the first one that I’d planned to enter, so made sure that I got some digital images ready for the Cotswold Monochrome Salon.
