LCPU 2011 Annual Print and Projected Image Competitions

I belong to the Holmes Chapel Camera Club, and as usual the club submitted an entry to the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (LCPU) Annual competition. This year we had our best result yet (by quite a long way!) – placed 9th out of 55 clubs in the colour print competition.

Open Wide

This competition is based on the top scoring image from four members of the club, and I’m delighted that one of my prints was in that four! ‘Open Wide’ has also been retained by the LCPU, either for exhibition, for sending round other clubs in one of the annual folio boxes that are circulated between member clubs, or for submission to PAGB competition to represent the LCPU (unlikely!) – alternatively they’ve simply lost it.
One of my monochrome prints (Silloth Steps) was also retained for circulating in the folio box. I’ve not included an image of it here, as it already appears twice in this blog … its first appearance being to mark its acceptance in this year’s Bristol International Salon.
