GDPU Digital Exhibition 2011 (update: results)

The second photographic salon I submitted images to this year was the Glasgow District Photographic Union’s 2011 digital exhibition. As the name implies this salon is for digital images only, which is much easier to manage an entry for than a print exhibition! Acceptances at this exhibition count towards BPE awards.

The GDPU Digital Exhibition is an annual national photographic competition that allows photographers throughout the UK the opportunity to compete against other top photographers.

Silloth Steps

I entered a total of eight images, four colour and four monochrome. The monochrome images included the Silloth Steps image that was my most successful image at the Bristol Salon earlier this year. The colour images included a macro photograph of the top of a fence post – Colonised

Selection is this weekend, and results should be out in two or three weeks time.

old_and_newupdate: June 10th I’ve now got my results, and one of my monochrome images, ‘Old and New’ (right) has been accepted, I’m pleased to say. Another of my monochrome images, ‘Silloth Steps’ (above) was a near miss. These two are my most successful recent images.
